"My wife and I have turned a visit to the Roselawn/Lighthouse theatre into an annual event. Yesterday we saw Liers at a Funeral - it was hilarious. 5 actors portraying 9 characters. We were in the 3rd row so had a great view of the stage, but honestly, there aren’t any bad seats. Everyone did an excellent job portraying their characters. The facility is great with generously-sized, comfortable seats, a ramp, stairs and an elevator to get to stage level. Bathrooms are large and clean. There’s a bar for refreshments before the show or at intermission. The Roselawn Complex is in a park like setting with the beautiful original building and landscaped gardens and grounds featuring a path with giant mature trees and several benches."

"We went to a matinee to see Hidden Treasures, which was 2 one-act plays. First was amazing, one of the best I've ever seen. Second started strong but ended weak. The theatre seating is comfortable. We sat on the main floor in the second row and Cheryl's view was a bit blocked by those in front of us. We recommend front row seating or seating along the side or back stadium seating areas."

"Stopped by the museum on a Saturday afternoon with a couple friends and ended up spending way more time there than we planned. The staff were super friendly and clearly loved talking about the old shipwreck exhibits, which made the whole visit way more interesting. Parking right out front was easy to find, which is always a nice bonus for a small town stop. Honestly a great little outing if you're in the Port Colborne area and want something low key but genuinely cool to check out."

"We stopped by last Friday evening right before closing and the staff still gave us a great, unrushed tour of the shipwreck exhibits. My kids loved the hands on displays about the Welland Canal and didn't want to leave after only forty five minutes. Parking right out front made it easy with two tired kids in tow after a long week. It's a small museum but packed with local history, and honestly one of the better free evening activities we've found in Port Colborne."

"I went to this park with a friend on Sunday (Oct 27, 2024) and we enjoyed a quiet walk around the grounds. The park wasn't very big, but it was fine for us as it was a chilly day. Most of the trees had already changed colours and lost a lot of their leaves, but the views were still beautiful. My only complaint was that you had to watch your step as there were bird droppings everywhere (Canada Geese)! There was a nice bridge and docks where boats were moored. There was also a playground for the kids which we did not check out. The Whiskey and Walleye restaurant was temporarily closed, probably for the off-season months. Although we didn't stay until it was dark, I'm thinking that this park would be a good place to watch the sun set. Port Colborne is a quaint, old town which we likened to Upstate New York. The people were very kind and friendly. On the whole, it was a nice place to visit and we enjoyed our time here. 😊👍💜"

"large open space, plenty of tables and coveres seating for picnic meals. New trees have just been planted throughout the park but there are lots of shaded areas with mature trees. The bandshell is acoustically sound and the gazebo on the hill is as nostalgic as it gets especially during the month of july each year on thursday evenings at 7 pm. Bring a lawn chair and listen to brass band musicians play. There is a large playground and a splash pad for the kids. One restaurant is on site. Wakeboard riding is a new addition for those willing during warm weather."

"Holy smokes! This little spot is an absolute gem! We stumbled across it, more random than not, and turns out they not only have some great and eclectic beer, they also have an absolutely stellar menu, and the food was well prepared and very delicious! We decided to share a burger and fries, as well as a pizza, because we just could not decide between the two. Wonderful food, kind service, clean bathrooms. Highly recommend to anyone wandering through the area!"

"Typical food smash burger edible texture seemed fresh server called me buddy I don't appreciate that. Dressing on the salad was sour. I appreciated the dead animal from the burger tho that's all I went there optimistic and left hateful. Most people who like to drink and show off in public probably like it, I'm not going back it wasn't enjoyable. I don't drink alcohol so maybe I needed to be drunk to enjoy it."

"Great turnout at the Canal days car show."

"Wow this place has everything from a full fitness gym to really nice picklevall courts. When your done with that head on over to the pool to cool off and relax!"

"First time in here and I can’t wait to go back. Food was awesome. Service was great. Skip the chain restaurants and stop in here."

"This place let me tell you !! … great food and good time this is the place to come ! Music, pool, patio, tons of tvs and great choice for food and drinks !!! definitely glad to have a place like this to come enjoy and relax ! Staff is so accommodating ! And glad I never have to worry about missing a fight or a game cause always on !"

"This place deserves more than it's current rating. Great resource for helping find employment. They will help sort out your resume, enroll you in courses and even as far as providing safety equipment all at no charges."

"Went for help applying for a program. Instead of going over the criteria they took my sin number and insisted on just going through the application I was denied for. Then I'm offered help with my resume and other things to get ignored for weeks thinking I have the wrong email until I get an automated email from the lady I was trying to reach at the same email. No help just a huge waste of time"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Lock!! This is our first time visiting since they moved, and they have much more space now! Service was friendly and fast as well :) All of our food was delicious! We tried several pizzas, and a meatball sub, and everything was amazing. Special mention to their gluten free crust, we were impressed!!"

"We arrived at 8:00 p.m., just as the shop was closing, but we were immediately welcomed with open arms. The staff insisted their ovens were still 'red hot' and that they would be happy to take our order, ensuring we didn't miss out on a great meal. We initially ordered a Hawaiian and a Roman Pepperoni but just after paying, I realized I wanted to switch the Roman to a Spicy Diavalo. I told the cashier, 'Don't worry about changing the bill since the Spicy Divalo is cheaper than the Roman,' but when the food came out, the kitchen had accidentally prepared the Roman instead. I told them, 'It’s okay, that’s my bad—I should have specified the Spicy Divalo from the start. We’ll just take these and go; I don’t want to take any more of your time.' The staff wouldn't accept that as a solution and insisted I take a seat. They told me, 'You are not going anywhere without the pizza you wanted—we’ll have it out in two minutes.' They quickly corrected the order and insisted we keep the extra pie at no charge, as a gesture of goodwill. To top it all off, they asked if we liked cookies and surprised us with three warm, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies on the house. The hospitality we experienced went above and beyond, making this an truly unforgettable evening. We will definitely be back!"

"Smokin’ Buddha was fantastic! They quickly accommodated our group of 7 on a busy Saturday night and, despite warning us the kitchen might be delayed, we didn’t find the wait long at all. Service was impeccable — prompt, attentive and with a great sense of humour. Such a fun, bustling atmosphere, and I love how the restaurant spills effortlessly onto the patio. The food was fabulous! I had the Tropical Shrimp Curry and sampled the Butter Chicken — everything was packed with flavour and enough heat to make you break a sweat. 🔥 Generous portions meant plenty of leftovers, too. We finished with a birthday treat of Thai Banana. With family recently moving to town, we will MOST DEFINITELY be back!"

"My husband and I recently stopped by for dinner. We have family in Port and this wasn't our first visit. We were greeted immediately after being seated by the manager. Soon after our server brought us some water and took oir order. We ordered the shrimp pad Thai. We had the option of the amount of heat we wanted. When oir dishes arrived, I was really surprised at the size and number of shrimp in the dish. Many restaurants skimp on the shrimp 😆. The heat level was perfect. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to our family and friends. We will definitely be regular customers!"

"My wife and I just stayed at the Canalside Restaurant and Inn in Port Colborne, September 5 through 8. The Canalside was a wonderful find. The room, which was above the restaurant, featured a wonderful view of the Welland Canal and the passing freighter traffic. The room was quite large with a king bed, sitting area, and kitchen/dining area. We thought the location was great and we really enjoyed watching freighters and cruise ships pass through the canal between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. What really made the room even better was the fact that the restaurant was located just below us. The food selection at the restaurant was quite good and prepared excellently. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner, Greg, and he was very nice to me. It was an excellent stay and we plan to go back."

"mayo was good Temperature - very good. It wasn't super warm, which you sometimes see, but also not too cold. Very enjoyable temperature. flavor - great flavor Texture - great, very smooth but a little oily Consistency - perfect couldn't ask for better perfect for fries or on a sandwich overall - 9/10 on the mayo scale"

"Greeted as soon as we walked in, great little selection of books! I even purchased a couple that I had my eye on. Busy area for street parking so we parked around the corner but GREAT location ♥️ love to support small shops!"

"I always get my iced matcha whenever I visit Pickadilly, and it has quickly become one of my favourite little routines. 🥹💚 I love driving here from Welland with my baby, browsing through the books, and sitting down to read while sipping my matcha. The staff are always so friendly, and I absolutely love the cozy ambiance. There’s something so comforting about being surrounded by books, enjoying a good drink, and having my little one with me. 📚🍵👶🏻 It’s become one of my favourite places to slow down, browse, read, sip my matcha, and enjoy a quiet little moment with my baby."

"This place is AMAZING. Plenty of parking, huge patio, even more space inside. Clean, tastefully, and the food is ABSOLUTELY amazing. I don't care what you get, it's done professionally and with love. I tried most of the menu, and if I had to single out one thing, it would be Lake Erie perch. Absolutely fantastic. Only thing better than food is people working there and running it. Family owned, family oriented, you'll feel among friends EVERY time. Don't wait, give it a try. 5 stars is not enough for Belmont!!! 👏🏻👏🏻"

"Never stayed at this place, didn’t even know it was a hotel. I frequently eat here and the boasted chicken and chicken wings are the best I ever had. Friendly staff and a roomy restaurant. Locals love the place and everyone I have taken there enjoys it too. Great place to catch a game or just a good casual dining experience. Highly recommend!"

"Nice clean and cozy spaces. Things for kids to do and of course lots of books. All for free."

"I really love this place. I go to a Twelve Step Meeting here weekly when I'm able. The staff are friendly, and the library is clean and very well maintained. I think you can tell a lot about a place by the way they keep their facilities. Stop by, say hi, but remember that they are likely closed on any Canadian civic holiday. Thank you Port Colborne for giving us such a lovely library for both residents and visitors alike to have at our fingertips."

"A very nice church with awesome environment. It's an area that inspires prayer."

"Père Guy Bertin Fouda is a wonderful welcoming priest here"

"Tinker (owner) has all kinds of great bands every weekend! The staff are great! They're energetic, serve you with a smile and have great attitudes behind the bar! The food is really good! And the chef will come out and make sure that everything is to your liking! Gotta come out and dance the night away, have a drink with friends and enjoy your time there! Cheers!"

"What a great spot! Hunny and I went in for some lunch and a game of pool, ordered a taco salad couldn’t even get a third through so big! And delicious highly recommended great lunch Deb!"

"For a mere $5, you can play euchre, compete with others, change partners each game, and enjoy meeting new people and share great fun with all. Snacks, coffee, tea, water at the end of 10 games. And prizes and ticket draws. Great fun for a couple of hours on a Wednesday night. I believe they have another on Friday afternoons too. Highly recommend."

"When visiting Port Colborne, I thoroughly enjoy Euchre night @ the Friends Over 55 Club, on Wednesday's with Lill, Doug and Con."

"July 19th First time visiting here. Loved the place by the canal where we watched shops going through. Stopped by the restaurant Canalside which had a huge patio across the street and music from 50s 60s 70s was being sung by one guy👌 The fish & chips as well as grassfed burger was top notch 🫠 was a beautiful day to spend here and shop around the wee shops along the Canal on the other side. Well worth a trip to this area 💯"

"Downtown Port Colborne is nice, but not many activities. Every day seems quiet, even on weekends. Most stores are closed early compared to Niagara Falls or Downtown Toronto. It's beautiful to walk the paths and watch the ships sail in. It would be so nice if they had more restaurants on the strip. Sometimes, they do have events that turn out well. My husband and I love to park and walk or sit on a bench and watch the water. Beautiful!"

"S o unreal—owner and cooks were so lovely, and this was THE best lasagna I've ever had, hands down. Such thin, smooth, silky pasta, AMAZING sauce, cannot get enough of it. Loved and shared by coworkers, MUST take a bunch of trays home for my family. Yum!"

"We had cheese stuffed cannelloni, lasagne, and garlic bread from De Luca and the food has been delicious each time. Over Canal Days, we stopped by their booth and my husband and I split the special of a chicken parm sandwich and caprese skewer. Wow! It was excellent! They do a great job. Their service is professional and food is delicious. Looking forward to my next meal from De Luca!"

"Open to the public. Welcoming environment. Super friendly staff. Free WiFi. Nice displays inside. Hall rentals available. Decent prices for drinks. Good social environment with many events. TVs to keep you entertained. Clean facility. Clean Washrooms. Smaller parking lot."

"Nostalgic gathering spot for almost and senior patrons to have a drink, play games and socialize. The main lounge has now been renovated. You do not have to be a member at go in."

"Amazing place to host anything really!"

"Great group, nice hall"

"I am very grateful four our Bridges in Port Colborne. Always kind, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable staff. Wheelchair accessible. They offer some great programs to the community as well. They always do their best to accommodate our needs."

"Great staff and wonderful care for patience"

"Great atmosphere, the best wings in town!! There's events every week - Pool Tournaments, Bike Night, and live music every weekend! Karaoke Fridays are the best. Everyone cheers you on and makes you feel comfortable. Its my new favourite place!"

"Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. Recommend fatboy platter."

"i drove from mississauga to finally try this spot after hearing so many good things, and i’m so glad i did. i ordered the jerk chicken mac and cheese and the jerk chicken meal, and both were amazing. the jerk chicken was packed with flavour, had the perfect amount of spice, and was super moist and tender. you can really tell they know what they’re doing. the mac and cheese was rich and went so well with the jerk chicken. the portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and made with care. every bite was better than the last. the drive was definitely worth it, and i’ll happily make it again. if you’re looking for authentic, flavourful caribbean food, i highly recommend checking this place out. i’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu."

"Absolutely amazing place. I'm staying in Port Colborne for work (archaeology, perhaps you've seen us working) and tried this place tonight. I grew up in Regent Park, a predominantly Jamaican neighborhood in Toronto at the time, and this place is incredible. Very authentic. Excellent price and portions. I was pleasantly shocked. I will be coming back here over the year to try everything. This time I had the street style jerk chicken. Loved the habenero. Perfect amount of heat. I can't wait to try the curry goat and kind of regret not getting the corn bread"

"Cozy homestyle restaurant with huge breakfast portions for a great price. Cannot beat this value in 2026. The Greek omelet I ate was delicious. My husband was impressed with how much bacon he received with his breakfast. We will definitely be back when in the area next. :)"

"Our 1st experience was a few months ago. We've now added this establisment onto our breakfast rotation. Service top notch, menu typical breakie/lunch items priced comparable to other restaurants. Good coffee.....Neat atmosphere. Parking in the Public lot. The do have an outdoor patio weather permitting. Accessible..."

"What an absolutely perfect venue & even more wonderful owners! I was married at Maple Meadows on September 25th, 2026 & I cannot express how wonderful the day was. It was better than I could have ever imagined. Buckle up for quite the review lol, because I have nothing but praise to give for this venue & want to be as detailed as possible for any future brides who are considering this venue (DO IT!!!) As a younger, anxious bride on a budget who did so much venue shopping & emailing that my head was absolutely spinning with options, I can confidently say that the MOMENT I spoke to Laurie over email, I knew Maple Meadws was the place for me. I felt so much peace. From the included florals, DJ, decor, reception & ceremony space, seperate spaces for the bride & groom to get ready & free parking, & more, this price is so beyod worth it. Seriously, I didnt pay any extra money for decor or florals at all - they had EVERYTHING from my pintrest board! For a venue this gorgeous in a seculded area with such crazy inclusions, the price truly cannot be beat. Trust me, I looked everywhere. Maple Meadows is the most financially efficient, convenient & gorgeous venue. I promise, you are sacrificing nothing by choosing to have your wedding here. Their commuication is top teir, as well. Laurie & Ashley were more than helpful during the wedding planning process, aswering every single one of my questions within no more than 48 hours of asking. They also accomodated me as much as possible, all the way up to the day of the wedding, going as far as making me a small boquet to toss since mine was so beautiful, I just couldnt throw it lol! I am so thankful for each of the extra things they did for me. As for the venue itself, there are no words to describe how beautiful it is. Even in a colder month like september, the meadow is absolutely gorgeous, practically glowing when you walk down the aisle. Butterflies were literally flying around the feild behid us while we said our vows, for goodness sakes! The horses were a guest favourite, the gardens are miraculate & perfect for photos, the firepit was a huge hit with guests during cocktail hour & the reception, the courtyard is perfect for a buffet & outdoor chatting & dancing space, & of course, the barn is gorgeous & spacious for the reception. I had 200 guests & we all fit comfortably in the venue - everyone could dance just fine & see everything, no matter where they were in sat the venue. The day of, I worried about absolutely nothing. Heating, cooling, set-up - all of it was so easy & not stressful whatsoever. Laurie delivered all of my flowers in perfect timing with no stress, & they were more beautiful than I could have imagined. They set up the arbours, chairs, tables & space perfectly for me. I didnt even notice they were doing it - they're magic! The night of, Brian was so helpful in advising us what needed to be cleaned up by us & what we could leave. They handled almost all of it & comforted us that we were okay to leave certian things the night of so we could go enjoy the rest of our evening. They allowed us to come back early in the moring the next day to pick up some odds & ends, as well as some cars that were able to be left overnight for drinking guests. They are so such accomodating, amazing people! They allowed us to source our own caterer, bartenders, vendors & alcohol, as well (with the proper licensing, of course) which was aso a huge stress reliever for a bride on a budget. I could keep writing this forever honestly, as it was just so perfect. So many of my guests shared the same feelings, as well, telling me it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. Some engaged couples even asked me to share info about it with them as they wanted to look into it for their own weddings, too! I have to end this review eventually, so I'll close with this: Laurie, Brian & Ashley - thank you so, so much for all you do. You made my day so very special & beyond all of my wildest dreams I've held since I was a little girl. All our love, Eden & Braiden Peters!"

"We got married at Maple Meadows earlier this summer and we honestly cannot recommend it enough! We fell in love with the property the first time we saw it – the grounds and the barn are so beautiful and thoughtfully designed. All day long our guests were commenting on how beautiful the barn and the property are! The owners Laurie and Brian, and the day-of-coordinator Ashley are incredible. They are all so kind and were so helpful in answering all of our questions and making sure every detail was in place before the wedding day. It’s obvious that they have a lot of experience and this took a lot of stress off of us. We also had several cultural elements added to the day that they were very willing to accommodate. Ashley and her team were a godsend – they made the set-up and clean-up process a breeze and made sure everything on the wedding day ran smoothly and on time. We had the wedding of our dreams at Maple Meadows thanks to the incredible team and beautiful property. Thanks again Laurie, Ashley and the whole team at Maple Meadows!"

"It's a big haul but let me tell you that the spaghetti and meatballs are excellent.. The sauce tastes fresh and the meatballs are consistent and delicious The pasta is cooked to perfection every time I've been there. I look forward to the next event It's a big Hall so it's not the most intimate atmosphere, but fun is what you make it so make your next visit there fun."

"Attended an amazing wedding for a family friend. They did an amazing job accommodating everything, the food was amazing, it was all homemade from aunts and Nona’s. The space was large enough to fit close to 300 guests and parking was easy. If you are having a wedding in the Port Colbourne area, it is worth a look!"

"Best market in Southern Ontario! Lots and lots of everything in the summer months. Great crafts and music. Love it. Every Friday morning from 7am till 12pm."

"Best market in the Niagara Region! Tons of variety and informative farmers and vendors! PS. No dogs allowed."

"Very nice quiet place to watch the ships pass through, lots of parking."

"The Gateway Park at Lock 8 was very quiet on Sunday, October 27, 2024. We had the entire park to ourselves that day! Wish that we had been there during the summer though, when all the flowers were in bloom, but it was still a great site to visit! A wonderful place of interest. There was ample free parking and it was a nice clean area to walk around in. We didn't see any large boats in the canal in the short time that we were there, but we saw some humongous ships at Port Promenade which I will be reviewing separately. I recommend that you include this park as one of your stops if you are planning to visit Port Colborne. 😊👍💜"

"WOW WOW WOW thank you so much for such a wonderful time. The food was exceptional and so much we had to bring some home with us. Thank you again Tea on West for a unforgettable afternoon and look forward to the next event we attend. Had a lovely time and wonderful service, couldn't ask for better . Thank you again Andrea 5 stars all the way"

"The food, owners and atmosphere are absolutely amazing. I can't hype this place up enough. If you want a high tea, this is the place to go. Tea on West beats out all other competitors in this field. The food is fresh and flavourful and there are so many flavours of tea with no extra cost if you wanted something different. Cant wait to come back!"

"The best bible teaching church you'll ever go to. Very friendly and joyful people. Pastor John and his wife Jodi are very hard working soldiers for the Lord. They are very good at planting seeds of God's given word to children. The joy and love you feel is unspoken and real at Christian Life Assembly! Kids summer camp is the best. It is so much fun for kids, volunteers and adults. The worship team have voices and play music like song birds. Can't forget bible study and kids zone Wednesday nights. Oh so much fun and learning. "Stopped in at Stamatis’ Takeout for lunch and ordered The Greek, and I was very impressed. The portion size was extremely generous for the price, and everything was packed with great flavour. The tzatziki sauce was especially delicious and really tied the meal together. What made the visit even more memorable was taking the time to chat with the owner. He shared the story behind the business, his motivations for starting it, and some of his experiences raising children with autism. It was inspiring to hear his passion, dedication, and commitment to both his family and the community. I wish this business nothing but success and have no doubt that the Port Colborne community will support him every step of the way. I’ll definitely be back to try more items from the menu. Highly recommended!"

"Great little place, friendly staff. Food was really good! This is more a place to get a small healthy meal, not a huge amount of food. For the price, it is great! But do not expect a large portion size. Enjoy! I will be coming back!"

"The employees at City Hall were SIMPLY OUTSTANDING! They greeted me with a warm smile and a positive attitude, making the entire experience pleasant. Every staff member starting from Diane, Isabelle, Greg, Erik, Garry were incredibly helpful, resourceful, and went above and beyond to assist me. Their professionalism and friendly demeanor truly reflect their commitment to excellent public service."

"The staff at city hall are always super kind and informative."
